eChapter Fall 2025 President’s Message

Happy October Everyone!  I hope you all have a chance to spend some relaxation time doing whatever makes you happy after our busy summers.  Be sure to take time to take care of you and leave all your worries behind.

Fall is always the time when AORN chapters and committees seem to buckle down and get back to work and eChapter is not exception.  While many took time off to enjoy the summer, many eChapter committees stayed hard at work making improvements for our members. This year’s BOD and committee chairs are an awe-inspiring group. They are very focused on their goals. The Nursing Network site is always improving so please check it out; it is better organized and easier to find things.

 We are also still looking for people for open eChapter BOD positions. If you would like to get involved at the chapter level and help nurses internationally, join us and get in on the fun.  We are reaching out to more nurses across the globe promoting nursing excellence through education and it is exciting. Willing to Serve Form

The Education Committee is proud to present their Winter Symposium on November 8, 8:30 PST on Perioperative Safety and Risk Reduction. Registration Link.

We also have our monthly education presentations: October’s topic is  “Advocacy in Nursing - Historical to Current” by Laura Gayton will be on October 22, 2025 at 8pm EST.** Registration Link.

 Journal Club meets quarterly; next discussion will be November 15, 2025 at 2 - 3 pm (EST), "ERAS Protocols and the Pediatric Population".**

 So, if getting involved is something you are thinking about, check out eChapter for a little something different. Education with pazazz, Journal Club will thoughtful discussions, Social hours, Bingo and many other opportunities for learning or involvement. It’s up to you; put your best foot forward and step up to the plate. Help make a difference in nursing!
