AORN Chapter 3907 President
My name is Constance Yeager, I earned my Bachelor of Science (BSN) from Holy Family University, Master of Science in Nursing degree from Immaculata University. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Old Dominion University. I have earned my MEDSURG-BC, NE-BC, and CNOR certification. I started my career in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), worked with liver/kidney transplant patients, urological surgical patients, and mother-baby. I then became an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in a SNF, later becoming the Director of Nursing (DON). I currently work in the Operating Room (OR). While working in med-surg I received many professional acknowledgements and Daisy nominations. I also represented multiple units in a newly designed nursing governing body redesign team, Magnet champion and skin champion. I lead my team when working as a DON to a deficiency free survey. As a DON I developed a nursing award for clinical excellence. I improved workflow through Lean Six Sigma methods and improved outcomes. I now co-chair the RN advancement program, started a mentorship program within the OR, co-chair multiple councils.
