Welcome to the eChapter of AORN. My name is Mary Alice Anderson and I live in Texas. I am your Membership Chair and I would love to connect! To give a background to the name: I work weekend days at a level 1 trauma facility as a circulator, scrub, and charge nurse. I’m also working for my Doctorate of Philosophy in Nursing Science focusing on nurses’ wellbeing. I am a member of my local AORN Board and National Guidelines Advisory Board as well as an AORN Journal reviewer. I love art, traveling, and yoga, and compete in powerlifting.
Periodically I will Spotlight an eChapter member. Celine Riendeau has worked in surgery since 1970. She became a member of AORN in 1972 while living in Rhode Island. She obtained her CNOR, Master’s in Health Administration, and RNFA in 2000 in PA. Just recently, she retired.
Thank you Celine for becoming a member of the eChapter and allowing us to celebrate your achievements in this wonderful field of perioperative nursing!
If you have any questions, please let us know!
