Welcome, eChapter's First Time Attendee Grant Winner
eChapter's 2018 First Time Attendee Grant Winner
Hello there, my name is Suz (Susan) Hall!
I am absolutely delighted to be coming to the AORN conference in New Orleans and cannot wait to visit your beautiful country, see the sights, taste the food and enjoy the music for the first time!! This year will also be my first being a part of AORN and eChapter.
A little bit about my nursing background? I’ve lived most of my life in Brisbane, Australia and graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2012. Since then, I have completed my Graduate year at the Mater Private Hospital in South Brisbane (2013) and continued working there for the next two years. Currently, I am working in theatres at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. SCGH is one of the largest public tertiary teaching hospitals in Perth, specialising in Neurosurgery, Liver transplants and Sarcoma Surgery. I am lucky enough to be a “floater” who works in all surgical specialties, and absolutely love my job! I have also taken on the role of Clinical Facilitator for Undergraduate Nursing students on Clinical Placement in the Perioperative Department this year, a challenging but very rewarding role that I feel extremely passionate about.
I look forward to meeting everyone, making lasting connections and friendships and enjoying the conference!
